US launches 12th night of strikes on Iran as Hormuz crisis deepens

The United States announced a fresh wave of airstrikes on Iran, marking a 12th consecutive night of attacks aimed at degrading Tehran's ability to threaten commercial vessels in regional waters.

US Central Command said the operations were focused on restoring freedom of navigation near the Strait of Hormuz, a critical artery for global oil and gas trade that has largely been disrupted during the conflict.

Iranian state media reported strikes near western cities including Ahvaz and Andimeshk. Diplomatic efforts remain stalled, with both sides hardening their positions.
